Read moreOn Sunday 13 March 2022, a group of 40 Grey College, Bloemfontein, old boys are riding the Cape Town Cycle Tour to create awareness and raise funds for the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) and Diabetes South Africa (Diabetes SA).
“We chose CANSA because various Old Grey’s, and some of their family members, are living with cancer. In 2020, Raymond van Niekerk (old Grey boy and former Global Head of Marketing for Investec) was part of our team. Raymond had stage four kidney cancer and diabetes, at the time, and finished the race on an e-bike.”

Read moreA total of 26 cyclists took part in the Capital to Capital Cycle Challenge 2021, a distance of 490km between the Union Buildings in Pretoria and the Maseru Border post in March 2021.
The team would like to thank all the sponsors and the support staff, who arranged three vehicles with six support staff to assist the riders.

Infraplex is excited to announce as part of their social responsibility for 2021 and they will be riding for the Port Elizabeth CANSA Care Centre, to generate funding for the centre and advocate for the importance of men’s health and the impact of male breast cancer.
The team will be cycling from Port Elizabeth and end in Mossel Bay in 4 days. The tour is a total of 578 kms in total and the tour will include a team of 9 riders. “We are fundraising for the Port Elizabeth CANSA Care Centre with a goal of R90 000. Our goal was created to also bring awareness and celebrate that CANSA will be turning 90 years old in 2021.”

Read moreThe group of cyclists will be cycling over seven days and plan to leave Port Elizabeth on 6 March and arrive in Cape Town on 12 March 2021. The cyclists will be cycling an average of 123km per day, totalling 785km over the seven days. This group of friends want to make a difference in the lives of children with cancer and cycle for a cause.
