Pink Suit For Cancer

Sean Lees and Stacy Henning

Sean Lees, alongside his  friends Stacy Henning and Cassandra Barnes, is gearing up to make a bold statement in the upcoming Absa Run Your City Tshwane 10K and Joburg 10K as they lace up their shoes to support CANSA Active. In a move to raise awareness about cancer, particularly breast cancer, Sean has traded in his traditional running gear for a beautiful pink suit. Their participation is more than just a run; it’s a special gesture to highlight cancer and support those affected.

“My name is Sean and I absolutely love running. It started out as a Parkrun in 2015 and here we are today with me having run the Comrades Marathon four times.

I have always wondered how I can make a difference and I have found a way to do that with my running. My aim is to raise cancer awareness and, in order to do this, I will be running in a pink suit!

I think almost every family has gone through the ordeal of having a loved one fight cancer so this is something that touches home.

I hope that running in this pink suit will create so much awareness that one day a group of us can run a marathon in pink suits together.”
