Three – tell all your contacts about your participation, sharing the url or link to your online fundraiser, and about your wish to raise funds to enable CANSA’s care and support services to cancer patients and loved ones – keep them up to date on your training regularly, as you prepare for the event and encourage them to make a donation towards your online fundraiser
Four – participate in the event – take lots of photos and share it on your social media platforms using the #CANSAactive #FeelGoodFun – make sure your contacts are cheering you on and invite them to make another donation towards your online fundraising project

Bestmed Backs Fast-Growing Tshwane Classic
South Africa’s biggest self-administered medical scheme, Bestmed, with close to 100 000 principal members, has announced an agreement with Hectic Promotions for the headline sponsorship of the Bestmed Tshwane Classic cycle race, which takes place on 3 November 2019 at the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria.

Cycle For Bee and Brain Cancer Awareness
The aim of this campaign is not only to spread awareness of GBM but also to raise funds in order to assist families who have been forced to face similar realities to that of Bee and her family, who cannot afford to provide the type of care that Bee was able to receive. The donations will be used to enable CANSA to provide care and support to these patients and families to ensure that other families can battle this debilitating disease.

Tshwane Diamond Cycle Classic
Pretoria boasts a brand new National Classic road cycling race following announcement today of the inaugural staging of the Tshwane Diamond Classic on 26 May this year. The Diamond Classic offers 110km and 50km route options which start and finish at the Baviaanspoort Correctional Facility.
The event starts and finishes at the impressive Baviaanspoort Correctional Facility, which presents ample parking, lots of shade, neat ablutions and impressive catering facilities – all crucial elements for accommodating a mass participation cycling event.

Tshwane Classic Route ‘Quite Simply Amazing’
Van Rooyen and his squad have completed two training rides on the course in preparation of the big day. “A win here is very important to us because it’s our home town event. Our sponsor, Bestmed, is nestled in Pretoria, so we really want to do well,” he said.
The Tshwane Classic route presents the famous Tom Jenkins ascent 12km from the finish and it provides a sublime platform for the climbers to pile on the pressure to try and create a lead going into the city centre and past Church Square.
