Tshwane Classic Driven By Action Ford
Cyclists and officials will be in the very capable hands of the Action Ford Motor Group when the Tshwane Classic kicks off at 05h45 on Sunday morning at the Voortrekker Monument.
Action Ford has assisted with vehicles – consisting of lead vehicles, sweep bakkies and officials’ transport – on events presented by Hectic Promotions over the past 7 years.
“The scale of their support for the Tshwane Classic is exceptional,” commented Tshwane Classic race director Darren Herbst. When Herbst made the call to Hartogh Streicher to request a vastly increased support crew and vehicles, the Unitrans divisional head instantly agreed.
“Action Ford has a relationship with cycling as well as other health and fitness events spanning many years. The Tshwane Classic is a great fit to extend our relationship with the cycling community,” said Streicher.
“We are very proud to be the official vehicle sponsor for this event and it also gives us great pleasure to ensure cyclists are safe and looked after by the officials driving our vehicles.”
Streicher added: “As a brand, we are passionate about promoting health and wellness and that can be seen throughout all the events and community-based projects we support.
“Our vehicles aren’t seen as transportation methods alone. We believe they enable our customers’ lifestyles – be it cycling, fishing, camping, kayaking or even surfing.
“We look forward to seeing all the old and new faces at this year’s Tshwane Classic and we wish everyone a safe and enjoyable ride,” he concluded.
Close to 7000 cyclists are lining up from 05h45 at the Voortrekker Monument on Sunday for the second edition of the Tshwane Classic, presented by the City of Tshwane, Jacaranda FM and Sun Time Square.
