Drakensberg Boys Choir School Sing in Support of CANSA
Music is our Ministry. Our mission at Drakensberg Boys Choir School (DBCS) is to prepare boys for life and leadership through excellence in holistic enrichment in a Christian environment. We strive to build character and nurture young men who will use their gifts, particularly music, to inspire hope and touch lives across South Africa and beyond.
October is internationally recognised as the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a global campaign dedicated to raising awareness, promoting early detection, supporting research, and standing with those affected by breast cancer. At Drakies, we believe in the power of community and the importance of making a meaningful difference. The WHO’s 2026 international campaign theme is “Every story is unique, every journey matters.” We are proud to participate in this year’s CANSA initiative, a cause that holds a special place in the hearts and journeys of our staff, boys, parents, and the wider Drakies community.
On Saturday, 24 October, our Drakies will take to the stage in the second half of the concert, wearing pink Drakies bandanas in support of this important cause. Please join us at 10:30 in the Ken Mackenzie Auditorium at DBCS, wear your support proudly, and be part of this special occasion. A portion of concert ticket proceeds will be donated to CANSA, and a donation facility will be available at the auditorium doors for those who wish to contribute further to this worthy cause. Together, we must raise awareness and show compassion as part of the global conversation about prevention, early detection, access to healthcare and improved patient outcomes. On 24 October 2026, Drakies will stand in solidarity with those affected by or fighting breast cancer. Every gesture of support for each unique journey matters!
Join us for the concert or donate directly to CANSA at https://cansa.org.za/personal-donation-options/. (Ref: DBChoir)
Tickets are available at www.dbchoir.com or at the reception before the concert.
Music is our Ministry. Let us use it to bring hope!
