Manual of Promotion to Access of Information Act (PAIA)

In terms of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa everyone has the right of access to information held by the State or another person.

The Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) is the national legislation which gives effect to this right and was passed in 2000.

In compliance with the PAIA and in terms of our commitment to promoting transparency, accountability and effective governance, the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) has compiled an information manual which outlines the procedures to be followed in requesting access to information.
