3 Peaks for Cancer Awareness
On 26 March 2022, Stefan Van Neel will be doing 3Peaks in 5 hours to collect essential items for the CANSA Eikehof Care Home, in Athlone.
The CANSA Eikehof Care Home provides home-away-from-home accommodation for cancer patients, who live far from treatment centres, while undergoing treatment. Patients’ length of stay varies from six to eight weeks, and patients have the option of going home on weekends if possible. Patients making use of the Care Home come from the Eastern, Northern, Southern and Western Cape, as well as the Klein Karoo region.
Essential items needed:
- Weetbix , Cornflakes, Peanut butter, Jam, Milk, Sugar and butter; Tin fish, Meats, Vegetables, Potatoes, Fish oil
- Care packs: Soap, towels, deodorant, toothpaste, lotion
- Detergents: We are in dire need of all cleaning essentials: Jik, Dishwasher, Washing Powder, Handy Andy, Domestos
- Bedding: Sheets, pillowcases, three quarter covers
All donations can be dropped off at the CANSA Eikehof Care Home during the month of March or contact Stefan directly for collection or any queries. Donations are also welcome to be dropped off on the event day as well.
