CANSA Active has 25 Swimmers Taking on 8 Mile Aquelle Midmar Mile Charity Challenge in 2024
The 51st Edition of the aQuelle Midmar Mile Charity Challenge in 2024, 8 to 9 February 2024, sees CANSA Active’s 25 swimmers taking on the 8-mile charity challenge at the Midmar Dam, and raising funds for CANSA.
About the aQuelle Midmar Mile Charity Challenge
Since 2016, aQuelle Midmar Mile has been raising funds for charitable causes. With only 120 swimmers in that first year, just over R1 million was distributed to 7 large and 11 smaller charities.
In 2023, the initiative gathered 212 individual swimmers for Charity 8 Mile and 21 individual swimmers for Charity 16 Mile. For the 50th Edition we also had 8 teams raising funds across the charities.
R 242 886 was received by CANSA from the Midmar Charity Challenge in 2023, the 50th anniversary of the event. We are thankful to all our past and current swimming champions for their support!
