Fedhealth Impi Challenge #3 boasts 22 exciting obstacles

Taking place at the Van Gaalen Kaasmakerij (North West Province) on Saturday, 06 October 2018, the Fedhealth IMPI Challenge #3 boasts 22 exciting obstacles of which 12 are manmade.
According to Pieter du Plessis, Fedhealth IMPI Challenge Race Director, the first step to hosting an exciting Obstacle Course Race (OCR) is choosing the perfect venue. “Situated at the foot of the majestic Magaliesberg mountains, the Van Gaalen Kaasmakerij is the ideal venue for the IMPI Challenge. The venue’s natural beauty and existing trails are unsurpassed, and the landowners are amazing to work with. The course design process usually starts with a trail run/route recce. We identify natural obstacles and then decide where to place the manmade obstacles, this depends on the terrain.”
“Safety always comes first, and over the years we’ve learned valuable lessons in construction,” continues du Plessis. “Obstacles that exceed a 2m height are signed off by an engineer. My favourite obstacle is the Leap of Faith. It challenges entrants to leap into the unknown. The Rawson Wall, on the other hand, is iconic to the IMPI Challenge and has been around since the event’s inception in 2009. We also strive to involve the community in which an IMPI event is hosted. We’ve purchased most of our material from Brits Poles, while all our marshals, life guards and event day staff live in the area. We’re excited to return to the Van Gaalen Kaasmakerij in October. My advice to entrants is to bring the gees and some energy. The IMPI Challenge #3 is guaranteed to be an awesome day out for the whole family.”

A trail run with a twist, the Fedhealth IMPI Challenge encourages family involvement, healthy living and getting outdoors. Entrants can expect an adrenaline pumping experience that will test fitness levels, challenge fears, but most importantly celebrate accomplishments.

OBSTACLE LIST: Exciting obstacles to look out for at the Fedhealth IMPI Challenge #3 at Van Gaalen Kaasmakerij will include: Little Hurdles, Porcupine Tunnels, Mitchum Wall, Nets/Dam Crossing, Swamp, Snake Pit, Vietnam Crawl, Weir Crossing, Rope Climb, Wiggle Wiggle, Leap of Faith, Tyre Swing, Cargo Tower, Rawson Wall, Under Armour Wall, Pulley Hoist, Mud Pits, Tyre Flip, Victor se Gat, Monkey Madness, Tyre Wall and the Lilly Pads.
TEAM BUILDING MADE FUN: Although the IMPI Challenge can be entered individually or as part of a team, to ensure that the most fun is had on the day, teamwork is encouraged! The Fedhealth IMPI Challenge is the ideal team building exercise!
Each finisher (individual and/or team) will receive an official Fedhealth IMPI Challenge finisher photograph.
