Support Charl Harding and Bannister Erasmus’s ABSA Cape Epic for CANSA Active

Bannister Erasmus and Charl Harding are raising funds for CANSA Active by taking part in the ABSA Cape Epic 2020. They have already achieved 93% of their target!

Charl Harding on why they are doing the Cape Epic for CANSA Active:

“Like most South Africans, I have lost friends and family to cancer. Losing loved ones to cancer has almost become the norm in our country. Through the years, I have seen people approach the disease with different attitudes. Some people approach their situation with hope and a fighting spirit. But some give up even before the fight started.

I believe the epic is a good analogy for the fight against cancer. It’s a long journey that you have to do one day at a time. The journey is not easy, and you have to fight against your mind, the pain and the elements to finish each day. Each rider in the epic will have their good days and their bad days, some days it will be difficult to not give up, but you have to keep up your fighting spirit to finish the race doesn’t matter what stumbling blocks come your way.

I’m riding the Cape Epic not only for cancer awareness and raising funding to CANSA. But I’m riding the Cape Epic to try and inspire cancer patients to keep up the fighting and always have hope even when it becomes tough, and you have to push yourself past your limits.
