The Local Choice Pharmacy Franchise Ride the Absa Cape Epic for CANSA

Jaco du Plessis and Jannie Groenewald are taking on the Absa Cape Epic multi-stage cycle challenge in support of a cause that is deeply meaningful to both of them. Proudly representing The Local Choice Pharmacy Franchise Group, they are using this iconic endurance event to combine a sport they both enjoy with purpose and community impact.

Combating cancer is close to their hearts, as they believe almost everyone knows someone who has been affected by the disease. This initiative strongly aligns with The Local Choice Pharmacy Franchise Group’s vision to serve every South African community with dedication and commitment, while also encouraging healthier, more active lifestyles.

Throughout the challenge, Jaco and Jannie will partner with The Local Choice franchisees, suppliers and service providers who will sponsor them based on the distance covered during the race. This collaborative effort allows the broader The Local Choice network to unite behind a shared cause, turning every kilometer ridden into meaningful support for CANSA Active.

All sponsorships will be formally acknowledged at The Local Choice Conference in May, where the funds raised will be officially handed over to CANSA Active. Through this initiative, Jaco and Jannie aim to raise awareness, promote wellness, and help shape local communities that are both purposeful and sustainable.
