CANSA Active Riders at ABSA Cape Epic 19 – 26 March 2023
CANSA is thrilled to have five teams riding for CANSA Active at the ABSA Cape Epic.
CANSA Active volunteers will be manning water points and providing free sunscreen for riders courtesy of SunSmart CANSA Seal of Recognition Partner, Ocean Freedom.

We have received entry into the world renowned ABSA Cape Epic 8 day mountain bike stage race in Cape Town, South Africa.
Bryan and I are grateful to be riding Cape Epic for CANSA! We know the work CANSA does is making a huge impact.
CANSA’s holistic approach of research-education-support is amazing.
We are excited that we can ride to create an impact for good, honor our loved ones, and everyone who has a cancer story. We are blessed with the outpouring of support from our family, friends, and community.
Our goal for this event is to raise $15,000 (US) for CANSA.

Hi guys, we are extremely proud and excited to announce that we are taking on the ABSA Cape Epic again in 2023.
This time around we have decided to take on the journey for a cause.

Stephan and myself will be taking part in 2023 Absa Cape Epic to raise money for CANSA, who do great work for a cause that’s very close to our heart. We are grateful to be able to compete in the ABSA Cape Epic MTB race, in support of CANSA Active.
Our goal is to assist with raising awareness and to generate funds for CANSA in support of their fight against cancer. We are very grateful to be afforded this opportunity to help those who are affected by this disease, and we need your help in order to contribute to this cause.

CANSA Active and ABSA Cape Epic
Who knew that by riding the Absa Cape Epic, you could be having #FeelGoodFun as well as assisting CANSA with vital funds to fight cancer? Our mission is to spread awareness about the dangers and risks surrounding cancer and bringing screening services to those that need it most.
CANSA is so excited to be an official partner for this event as it provides a super platform for CANSA to promote the CANSA Active programme. CANSA believes in being active and healthy including staying safe in the sun.
We give back to local communities, by providing information, care and support to cancer Survivors (patients), caregivers and loved ones, who might not have been in a position to receive support otherwise. The funds raised through go towards CANSA’s service delivery, specifically our care and support programmes which include counselling, support groups, medical equipment hire, wigs, prostheses, stoma products, and accommodation if patients are living far from treatment centres at our CANSA Care Homes.
CANSA believes that a balanced lifestyle is key to lowering your cancer risk and raises awareness on how to reduce cancer risk through health campaigns and educates about the importance of knowing the symptoms of cancer, as well as going for regular screening and health checks
