Richard Newton Rides for a Purpose in the Cape Town Cycle Tour

CANSA is proud to have Richard Newton participating in the Cape Town Cycle Tour as a CANSA Active Champion. Richard is cycling not only for the thrill of the ride but to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.

Richard shares his heartfelt motivation for taking on this challenge:

“Every one of us has a different road that we must travel. My journey has had far fewer storm clouds than others, and the road surface has been much smoother than some people have had to endure. What is important to remember is that the road ahead can change at any time for any of us. And when it changes for our family and friends, we want to do whatever we can to help.

I feel quite helpless in what I can do to make a difference in their lives. It also makes me question how much we take our health for granted. So, I’m taking part in the CANSA Active initiative, aimed at promoting health and wellness while supporting cancer education and awareness.

Through my fundraising efforts, we can contribute to a cause that makes a meaningful impact in the lives of many individuals and families.
